Trace is a senior at the University of Texas at Austin double-majoring in Public Relations and Radio/Television/Film. He started this blog as an assignment for his PR in Entertainment class.
Born in West Monroe, Louisiana, he moved to Sugar Land, TX when he was 3 years old and lived there until starting college. After graduating from Austin High School in Sugar Land, TX, Trace spent his first year of college at the University of Texas at San Antonio. Once a year had passed, Trace transferred to the University of Texas at Austin in order to pursue a degree in film. It was after attending the university for a year that he decided to add a simultaneous major in public relations.
Since being in college, Trace has worked at the Annual Giving Call Center at UT Austin as well as Blockbuster Video. He currently works as a host at both Chili’s and The Melting Pot, a fondue restaurant in downtown Austin.
Being a film major, Trace has a strong interest in the entertainment industry. His background in the radio/TV/film department allows him to apply that knowledge to what he learns in his public relations classes. He has gained experience in Final Cut Pro and Avid editing software from his film classes.
Trace seeks a career in entertainment public relations. Hoping to stay in Austin, Trace is not opposed to the idea of moving to Los Angeles or New York City in order to pursue his career.
